Empowering Asian Australians to lead climate action. We work to ensure that Asian Australian voices, leadership, and cultural wisdom are central to Australia’s climate response — shaping policies, shifting public narratives, and creating inclusive, community-driven solutions.
OUR VISION
A just, inclusive, and sustainable Australia shaped by Asian Australian leadership.
We envision a nation where climate solutions reflect the diversity of its people — where Asian Australians are visible, influential, and central to building a fair, thriving, and climate-resilient future.
OUR STORY
AAFCS was founded by a group of Asian Australian doctors and dentists who recognised a serious gap in the national climate conversation. Despite making up nearly one in five Australians, our Asian communities were under-represented and disengaged from the climate movement; even though they face disproportionate climate impacts both in Australia and across Asia.
What started as a small Facebook group of professionals sharing health and environmental concerns has become a national organisation uniting Asian Australians for climate solutions. We now work across communities, media, and policymaking spaces; connecting culture and climate through evidence, empathy, and inclusion.
